Irish artist Val Dennigan was born in Dublin. She started painting in 1997 primarily as a hobby. Realising her natural gift for painting, she attended Brushstrokes School of Art, Dublin with Philip Clarke and Art House, Enniskerry with Brenda Malley. Over the years her portfolio has grown from still life, paying great attention to detail, to work focusing on seascapes and landscapes using a pallet knife. Her most recent work is called The Copper Collection, this collection is an exploration of using metallic coloured paints in abstract form.
Originally Val donated her paintings for fundraisers and charities. Since early 2002, she has exhibited at The People’s Art on Stephen’s Green, CRC in Clontarf, Ardscoil Rís on Griffith Avenue, Art Source at the RDS Dublin. She has also completed commissioned works for corporate and private clients.
